Drum therapy Workshop
Drum therapy is a natural healer. It’s so effective that the rhythm can shift your focus away from a stressful or uncomfortable event to something pleasant and soothing. In that way, it serves as a distraction. But drum therapy does more than just that; the rhythm can help to reduce stress and anxiety through multiple pathways. It affects physiological factors like heart rate and hormone levels, regulate the nervous system, and has psychological effects, as well. The act of drumming contains a therapeutic potential to relax the tense, energize the tired, and soothe the emotionally wounded.
Our drum therapy workshop is open to everyone and no prior drumming experience necessary. The session will focus on the basic of rhythm creation to a fun and relaxing drumming techniques. The fun energy created through drumming together will help alleviate stress created from unexpressed feelings and emotions from energy blockage. The workshop will provide an opportunity to connect with your own spirit at a deeper level, and to connect with a group of other like-minded people. We will learn to flow with the rhythms by simply learning to feel the beat, pulse, or groove while drumming. Whether you want to manage stress better, enhance your mood, or lower your blood pressure, drum therapy might be worth a try.
We've few drums available to use, during the workshop, however you're welcome to bring your own drum or any musical instrument you've. Join us for an unforgettable experience as we immerse into the flow of the rhythm, drum to the beat and feel the happy vibration from the music.
